Prof. Koeva is an associate Professor of Computational linguistics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in Structural, Applied and Mathematical Linguistics in the Institute for Bulgarian language, Sofia. For the last ten years she has been involved in research and development of linguistic resources and applications for Natural Language Processing. At present Dr. Koeva is the head of the Department for Computational Linguistics (DCL) as well as the deputy director of the Institute for Bulgarian Language, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and also the President of the Bulgarian Association for Computational Linguistics.
