Prof. Dan Cristea has a permanent professorship position in the Faculty of Computer Science of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania. Prof. Cristea’s research interests are mainly related to the following NLP areas: discourse theory, anaphora, discourse parsing, lexical semantics (WordNet), linguistic resources, automatic configuration of NLP architectures, question-answering, summarization, computational lexicography. Over the years he lead his team in many EC funded projects, among which: TELRI (FP4), Balkanet (FP5), LT4eL (FP6), RolTech (an INTAS project – as coordinator), ALEAR (FP7) and CLARIN (FP7).
