South west Iceland is geologically young. Furthermore, the gap between the Europe and America tectonic plates continue to grow. Thus makes Iceland and especially its southwestern part rich of frozen lava fields, geysers, steaming holes, boiling mud spots. Geyser area and Gullfuss waterfall are definitely the most attractive places here.
